HI, I’m Trudi

I was born in Surrey, England and have been sewing since I was a child. I became a professional dressmaker, and in my early twenties I gave birth to twins, and began to make toys teddy-bears and rag dolls for my children

A whole new world opened up to me after attending a four year Arts & Textile course at college.

After this I started to teach textiles at my workshops, and selling my creations at craft fairs, and at the Mind, Body and Soul fairs I sold my healing dolls.

From Surrey I moved to Devon, and it was while I was here not only did I become very passionate about making dolls, but I was fortunate enough to meet a lady, Edna, who has become one of my closest friends. She showed me a doll book and I became totally inspired by what I read.

In 2004 I moved to the Algarve in Portugal to a little village called Algoz, which is a typical Algarvian village, quaint and pretty.

I love all things to do with nature, magical things, and I believe in fairies at the bottom of the garden, and why not?

My favorite films include Harry Potter, Witches of Eastwick and Pretty Woman….what a mixture!!!

I enjoy cooking, growing my own herbs and love all genres of music.

I have a great imagination and love to be different. My favourite quote in life “Life is too short, don’t waste a minute of it”

Finally, the great love of my life is my partner Dean. Bless him for putting up with me……….and my dolls.
